Federal oversight on every recommendation issued to a mission.

§ 01 · The bureau in one paragraph

A specialised financial counsel to the diplomatic missions of Geneva.

Based at the heart of International Geneva, Mandat Genève acts as the institutional interface between accredited personnel and the Swiss financial market. From the day the legitimation card is issued, through the active years of the posting, and up to the closure of the mission, the bureau translates Swiss regulation into a clear set of choices, in the working language of the mission, under formal federal oversight.

Our position rests on independence and proximity. Drawing on the infrastructure of a major independent Geneva brokerage, the bureau combines the discretion of a boutique practice with the institutional negotiating power of the Swiss market. More than thirty institutions are placed in competition on each file to secure the structure and the price that fit a diplomatic profile.

  • Legitimation card audit and policy review for every accredited holder, from arrival
  • Tax neutrality, Pillar 3a and 3b structuring, Form 25 follow-up under the Special Regime
  • Mission continuity support, from the LAMal exemption to the Ci permit business set-up

Do not navigate the Swiss system alone. The initial assessment session is confidential, included in our onboarding protocol, and concludes with a written brief that the mission can act on at its own pace.

§ The bureau

A bureau dedicated to the diplomatic community of Geneva.

Mandat Genève exists because accredited missions, international civil servants and their accompanying families require a level of precision and discretion that traditional Swiss institutions are not built to deliver. Banking hours do not align with the operating tempo of a mission. The bureau closes that gap, one legitimation card at a time.

i

Status-first financial counsel

No product is discussed before the diplomatic privileges of the mission have been mapped against the Swiss rules in force. The resulting structure is compliant by default and engineered to capture every fiscal and legal advantage the legitimation card grants.

ii

Continuity across a mobile career

The career takes the mission across the globe. The wealth needs a stable anchor in Geneva. The bureau acts as the permanent financial anchor, from accreditation to closure, with assets engineered to travel with the next posting.

iii

Boutique discretion, institutional reach

The discretion of a private office paired with the institutional weight of a Swiss brokerage. The bureau's accredited brokerage alliance opens the full Swiss financial market through a single, confidential point of contact.

Mandat Genève was founded to sit between the Swiss financial system and the diplomatic community that makes Geneva its place of mission. Switzerland is one of the most stable jurisdictions in the world in which to anchor wealth, yet its administration can be opaque to anyone entering with a foreign status. That friction is the work of the bureau, every day.

The bureau does more than place insurance contracts. It aligns every component of the financial setup with the legitimation card, from a health coverage calibrated to the specific exemption to investments that preserve the tax privileges of the mission. What the diplomat receives, ultimately, is the precision and the clarity required to operate in Geneva with confidence.

§ 04 · A complex regime

The Swiss Special Regime is not a default setting.

For diplomats, mission staff and accompanying spouses, immunity and exemption are granted, not assumed. They have to be documented, defended at the counter, and rebuilt every time a card changes. A confidential audit closes the gap before the canton, the bank or the insurer reads your status incorrectly.
