§ Audience 04 · Solution architecture · Insurance & Financing

Bespoke solutions for every legitimation card.

Through our affiliation with a leading brokerage and our partnerships with the major Swiss and global institutions, we select and negotiate preferential terms with the most solid counterparties, to deliver compliance solutions of absolute rigour. Read it by need rather than by status, and identify the instrument that fits the mission.

Select the mission profile

Ambassadors & Diplomats (B · C · KB · KC). The LAMal exemption file, complementary cover on top of the sending-state scheme, capital held where it costs least, and property financing up to 80% of the lending value when acquisition is on the agenda. Every recommendation operates within the headquarters agreement.

Mission Staff & International Organisations (D · E · P · K). The exemption file, complementary cover for what the internal scheme leaves unpaid, withholding tax reclaimed on Form S-161, and a transfer clause in every contract from day one. Cross-border households resident in France are handled here too.

Accompanying Family (Ci permit). What the Ci transition actually costs, the Pillar 3a arithmetic and the TOU filing that carries the deduction, business set-up under the right legal form, and the mixed-couple overlay that keeps the two regimes coherent.

Inside the Swiss Special Regime, the word standard rarely serves the mission. Most financial products on this market are calibrated for the ordinary taxpayer and misread a legitimation card by default. The Solution Center exists to give the mission a single-screen overview of every instrument engineered specifically for the diplomatic corps in Geneva.

Every solution below has been built or curated for the legitimation card community. Each is regulated under Swiss law, each combines with the others, and each is delivered by a single point of contact regardless of the audience the mission falls into.

360° HEALTH · CAPITAL · ANCHOR · CONTINUITY

§ 01 · Health & Pension desk

Health cover in Geneva, on top of the mission scheme.

The LAMal exemption is granted by the canton, not by a broker, and the scheme of the sending state or the organisation remains the primary cover. What a private insurer adds sits above that. The bureau builds the exemption file, then closes the gap the primary scheme leaves open.

i

International private medical insurance (IPMI)

First-tier worldwide policies designed for B and C card holders, offering complete portability on an international transfer.

ii

Swiss complementary cover (LCA)

Targeted solutions that dovetail with the UN (UNSMIP) or WHO (SHIF) schemes without duplicating premiums, with case management in English and a direct line for hospital admissions.

iii

Flexible individual provision (Pillar 3B)

Unrestricted retirement savings suited to those exempt from direct taxation, allowing capital withdrawal without destructive penalties. Global student cover for dependent children is handled in the same framework.

§ 02 · Savings & Banking intermediation desk

Holding capital under the Special Regime.

Card holders exempt from Swiss tax and from AVS have no use for a product sold on its deduction, and no right to a Pillar 3a. Working spouses on a Ci permit are in the opposite position. The catalogue below is read against the status, never against the product.

  • 01
    International capitalisation life insurance
Investment wrappers, notably under Luxembourg law, offering complete fiscal neutrality and adapting to changes of residence abroad. Designed for international transferability, the instrument serves as unrestricted pension provision or as collateral (Lombard credit) for your property projects.
  • 02
    ANobAG provision
Structuring and management of AVS obligations, occupational pension arrangements and accident cover for local staff of missions and international organisations.
  • 03
    Savings accounts and deposits
Access to banking deposit solutions at preferential rates negotiated with our partner banks in Geneva.
  • 04
Pillar 3a · reserved for the Ci permit
Reserved exclusively to Ci permit holders in local gainful employment. The bureau manages the optimisation of the maximum authorised annual contribution and handles the Taxation Ordinaire Ultérieure (subsequent ordinary assessment) interface with the cantonal tax administration.
  • 05
    Banking introductions
The bureau manages no assets and gives no investment advice. It puts the mandates of partner banks out to competition, and those banks remain solely responsible for advice and management within the meaning of the LSFin.
  • 06
    Education portfolios
Dedicated structures for school and university costs of accompanying children, in CHF or in the destination currency, calibrated to the horizon of the mission.

§ 03 · Financing & Real estate desk

Anchoring the mission in Geneva property.

Property acquisition by diplomats in Geneva calls for precise command of the Lex Koller and of the immunity-from-execution risk. The bureau negotiates on the mission's terms and assembles files that clear compliance without immunity becoming an obstacle.

  • 01
    Mortgage sourcing
We negotiate your financing with the Geneva banks that specialise in lending to legitimation card holders, up to 80% of the lending value for the main categories, with immunity from execution clauses agreed directly with the credit committees.
  • 02
    Lex Koller compliance review
Validation of the acquisition structure for a primary residence in Geneva, which can be bought without authorisation. Second homes and buy-to-let property stay closed until ten years of uninterrupted main residence in Switzerland are complete (RS 211.412.41).
  • 03
    The Protocol attestation
Under the LFAIE, a B or C card holder needs an official attestation from the FDFA Protocol stating the function and the validity of the status before acquiring. It is issued in Bern, and the calendar of the purchase depends on it. The request is opened alongside the financing file.
  • 04
    Lombard loans
Borrowing against an existing life policy or investment portfolio at preferential rates, used to fund a Swiss project without touching the underlying capital.
  • 05
    Notarial coordination
Liaison with the Geneva notary, the bank and the canton to compress the timeline between signed offer and entry in the Registre foncier (land register).

§ 04 · Our compliance guarantees

What the bureau rules out, as much as what it offers.

i

Open architecture

Our model rests on complete independence. We carry no in-house product. We select, impartially, the first-tier instrument or contract that answers the specifics of your legitimation card.

ii

LSA and LSFin perimeter

FINMA registration F01506548 is an insurance intermediary entry under the LSA, not an authorisation to advise on investments. Mandat Genève provides neither investment advice nor portfolio management within the meaning of the LSFin. Those services belong to the regulated banking institutions.

LSA insurance intermediary · CICERO no. 43076 · FINMA no. F01506548 · AFA member

§ 05 · Continuity of service

From credentials to closure of the mission.

Postings rotate every three to five years, and the fear that comes with that is signing a Swiss contract that will not let go on the way out. Every contract arranged through the bureau carries a diplomatic transfer clause, allowing termination or transfer without financial penalty on departure from Switzerland.

i

Arrival

The LAMal exemption file, and coordination of account opening with leading banking institutions under the regulatory classification that conforms to your status of immunity and international exemption.

ii

Mission

Capital structuring, business set-up for the accompanying spouse, education planning for dependent children, year-round liaison with the canton.

iii

Closure

The transfer clause exercised, complementary cover continued, and the legal architecture that lets the household remain in Geneva or move on without friction.

§ 06 · Solutions matrix

Every legitimation card, every solution.

A consolidated view of the four flagship solutions, the cards they cover and what each one actually delivers. The matrix is the entry point. Every file is calibrated individually under counsel.

Core solution Eligible cards Primary benefit What it changes
